After a refreshing wine with ‘crispy, tangy citrus flavours’?
This is a wine from the Barossa Valley, made with fruit harvested in the cool of the night to retain the lovely aromatics of the Riesling variety. On the palate, you get a bit burst of citrus, grapefruit predominately and a touch of pineapple sweetness. It’s a pure, light wine with crunchy acidity, best enjoyed with good company. Serving suggestions include fried halloumi or salt and pepper squid.
Vivino users give it 3.5 stars calling it ‘so refreshing to drink’. Sounds like my type of wine!
Mike Bennie of the Wine Front gives it 88 points, describing it as ‘summer fun’ and a ‘ripper’.
Huon Hooke gives this wine 93 points calling it ‘intense, refined and amazing value for money’.
It retails for a very affordable $13, so it is already good value for money at RRP. Most places stock if for around the $12 mark which we have used as our Real Price.
With this offer, you can take home a bottle for just $8.55 in any 6, so feel free to mix and match. You save just under $4.00 on what was already a reasonably priced wine, so I’ve given this offer 3 stars.
Nothing like a delicate riesling that makes you want to keep re-filling your glass.
